Job Description

SecurAmerica, LLC is currently seeking Unarmed Security Officers to protect our client’s property and assist patrons at our West County Mall location in Des Peres, MO, by ensuring high service levels and performance. The ideal candidate(s) will have above average customer service in order to perform the responsibilities and qualifications as an Unarmed Security Officer.

The Unarmed Security Officers will maintain a safe and secure environment for patrons and employees by patrolling and monitoring the premise.

The following essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, patrons, visitors, tenants, and the premise.

• Prepare accurate and concise written daily patrol activity reports.

• Provide excellent customer service in a courteous and professional manner.

• Adhere to all company service and operating standards.

• Remain in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.

• Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance to employees, patrons, and/or tenants.

• Check doors and windows of buildings to ensure they are tightly closed and locked during non-business hours and open during operating hours.

• Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control and accident investigations.

• Assist mall patrons or customers in a friendly and engaging manner when requested.

• Contribute to the department’s effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

The job qualifications include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Reliable transportation is required.

• Must meet the minimum age requirement per state law.

• Integrity and ability to work independently.

• Ability to conduct mobile and foot patrol for extended periods of time.

• Knowledge of security operations and procedures is preferred.

• Capable of following complex instructions.

• Excellent written, verbal, and customer service skills.

• Ability to walk, stand, sit, bend, lift, and/or move continually during working hours.

• Ability to lift items and/or equipment of up to 25 pounds.

• Ability to obtain a state-issued security license.
